Editorial: Put Your Trust In God

Harold Camping has done what I figured he would do; he has “re-calculated” the end of the world.

I wish I could get this post to everyone in the world, not because I’m writing it, but because now is a perfect time to say as clearly to everyone as we possibly can:  PUT YOUR TRUST IN GOD!

Jesus told us very clearly that when it comes to the end of the world (and a lot of other things as well), we are NOT to pay any attention to people who claim to know.  No one knows.  No one.  NO ONE!

In the spiritual life there is the power of paradox.  We are in a time of paradox—when “unknowing” is how we come to “know.”  We are in the paradox when throwing away our eschatalogical calendars is the way to know “what Time it is.”

If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, Harold Camping is “small potatoes.”  Why settle for him, when you can settle into Him?  If you trust in Him, it doesn’t matter—AT ALL–on what day He returns.  If you see Him now, you will see Him then!   That’s all you need to know.  You will be ready if you belong to Him. Not because I said it—but because Jesus did (e.g. John 14:1-3).
