Jeannie recently ordered a CD from a distribution source called “CD Baby.” You may already know about it, but if not, I want to tell you just a little.
The confirmation email she received is one of the “happiest” and most-creative responses we’ve ever seen…..
We all had a wonderful celebration afterwards and the whole party marched down the street to the post office where the entire town of Portland waved “Bon Voyage!” to your package, on its way to you, in our private CD Baby jet on this day, September 30, 2012.

The confirmation virtually “drips” with JOY. And just reading it makes you happy—makes you want to order something else! 🙂
But more than that, it comes from a group of people who have learned how to work with JOY and to spread it around. Permission to confirm orders in such a creative way obviously came from a CEO who understands the value of JOY—both in the customers and those who work at CD Baby.
It is almost impossible to calculate the difference an environment of JOY makes to a group of employees, or to the folks they serve.
