Meditation:  “Stuck!”

The familiar story for today tells us there were two “stuck” sons.

One was stuck in the mud, the other was stuck in the field.  Jesus shows that it is actually better to be stuck in the mud.  When you are in the mud, you don’t need anyone to tell you are dirty.

But when you are in the field, especially if you are the boss, self-righteousness can take over.

We always repent sooner when we think we need to.  Need drives us back to God faster and better than prosperity ever does.  It is the son in the field who remained “stuck” and missed the party.
