Connections: God’s Calling

If you have been reading this blog for any length of time, you know how important I think the word “vocation” is.  We live vocationally–that is, in response to God’s call.

My good friend, and Episcopal priest, Rob Goodridge has started a blog: “God’s Calling” (godscalling.blog.com).

I hope you will check it out.  It will deepen your own sense of “calling”

This is to welebolt. Fr. Robb actually asked for ordained priest, pastors, or ministers. We are ALL ordained by Christ to be ministers. He wasn’t limiting; he was all inclusive.

    Hi Steve,
I did jump to your friend’s blog which is here: http://godscalling.blog.com/ and was encouraged to hear he is collecting stories of calling. Until he ended with this, “If you are a priest, please share your story.” I am not a priest. But my hearing is fine. I have a vocation, clear and present in the world. It is what shapes my blog. I hope you will encourage your friend to consider this possibility and expand his collection.

This, I am told by Mary Lou Redding, is how The Upper Room magazine took off. They opened the authorship to the laity because they were deluged with those stories. And they were powerful. Seventy five+ years later I think we would both agree.

I have tried to go to that blog but cannot seem to find it. Are you sure it is correct?
