Ancient Wisdom: February 2, 2014. (Year A)

Read:  Micah 6:1-8

Meditation:  “When God Speaks”

We don’t realize how foolish and arrogant we sound until God decides to speak.  We parade our “theological opinions” while never fully living up to them–and then God breaks in to put things into perspective.

And it is the Voice of the One Who cannot understand how we can trivialize His grace with our half-hearted devotion. In the face of it all God asks, “What have I ever done to you–except to ask you to do justice, love kindness and walk humbly with me?”

And in that moment, we are left without reply.
